ManPuss Recording Studio   ( RTM  )

  ManPuss Recording Studio (RTM)

I started operating this studio in late November 1999 as a therapeutic
project  following the tragic loss of my elder brother the grand master
pianist Zuzel Galver Beckley and elder sister Zuzella Pearl. They were twins and    died within a year of each other aged only 43yrs.may their souls R.I.P. I was able to  bear this loss because I knew how much they would want me to continue the art of music making. I want to continue giving pleasure to  music lovers all over the world and for them to enjoy the  sounds of these beautiful Instruments that I grew up with in my case  the Piano and the Guitar.

ManPuss means in krio (a language spoken in Sierra Leone) `male cat / Tiger cub. Any striped tabby cat is a `ManPuss` proper. As cat lovers can tell you, male cats, are highly protective of their domain. To be  allowed into their marked territory is an acknowledgement of  knowing and respecting who is the boss of the territory. Those who enjoy cartoons, take a tip from TV Hannah  Barbera's TC- Top Cat , the lovable character modelled after the TV sitcom comedy Sgt.Bilko.

Early recordings done in this little but cosy studio were mostly instrumentals requested by my clientele whom I entertain over the weekends at the White Hart Hotel in Lewes. I have been the resident musician  for quite a number of years and continue to entertain todate.

Well what can I say, life is full of surprises just like a good stage show, a lot of it can be pleasant indeed, but then again no condition is permanent no matter the length of time. If only good things can last forever, oh no! You know they dont. So why not make the most of the good times and enjoy the show. Pass the pop-corn around, don`t hug it, love your friends, help your fellow mankind lets hope this change no matter how minute can make this wretched world a better place till the curtains finally come down.

This African label markets the indigenous music of Sierra Leone and other African countries within the continent. This genre is a cross over as the instruments used are mostly samples of African themes arranged using western acoustic and electric instruments. I strive in my Afro productions to get as close to using the techniques applied in playing the real African insrument, especially the percussions, as they would played on a live stage.
As such, these songs can all be replayed and performed by musicians live in concert.

“The Bridge Over Congo”
This is a classic Congolese instrumental arranged and performed by this brilliant guitar and keyboard wizard included in his last album King Jimmy.
